Al Manshar Rotana with Kuwait
Central Blood Bank set up a counter
for registration of guests who wish
to participate in the blood donation
campaign and donate blood donation.
Arabian Cultural Connection
Being a leading Emirati Company in the
hospitality industry, the Rotana brand
mark symbolises the palm tree, more
specifically the very rare palm tree,
botanically named “Phoenix Dactylifera”.
This brand mark was chosen because of
the similarities between the palm tree
and Rotana. Found in a desert oasis, it
provided people with food, shelter from
the relentless sun and at the same time an
opportunity to socialise with visitors to the
oasis while having a cup of Arabic coffee.
Similarly, Rotana aims to provide its guests
with a warm welcome and a place to
socialise and discuss the affairs of the day.
Having Arabic coffee and dates in our
hotels’ lobby will add value to the hotels,
by connecting our international guests to
the Emirati culture, and explain more of
the UAE history.
Rotana Linen and Towel
Reuse Programme
The Rotana Earth Linen and Towel Reuse
Programme is designed to raise guest’s
awareness and to support sustainability
of the earth’s resources. New cards were
designed and re-launched in our hotels
to better draw guest’s participation. One
important aspect of the programme
is allowing the guest to choose the
frequency that their bed sheets and towels
are changed by Housekeeping.
In the first two months of implementation,
around 50% of the guests participated in
the linen reuse programme and 25% in the
towel reuse programme. In some hotels
with frequent Russian and German guests,
the cards were translated to Russian and
German beside the English and Arabic
languages to further enhance guest’s
participation.
