Rotana, one of the leading hotel management companies in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe, was recognised and rewarded for its corporate sustainability achievements at the annual Abu Dhabi Sustainable Business Leadership Awards hosted by the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group (ADSG).
Rotana Hotel Management Corporation’s Corporate Director of Environment, Health & Safety, Christiane Abou Zeidan, was named the ‘Sustainability Manager of the Year’ for her efforts in spearheading Rotana’s sustainability achievements, headlined by its Global Corporate Sustainability Platform, Rotana Earth, a comprehensive framework that was launched in 2013 to address environmental, economic and social sustainability across Rotana’s entire portfolio of new and operating hotels, hotel apartments and resorts.
“As the foremost hotel brand in the region, we remain committed in our efforts to embrace and promote sustainable business practices through values and principles that demonstrate our strong sense of responsibility towards the environments we operate in. Being recognised for our efforts at the prestigious Abu Dhabi Sustainable Business Leadership Awards is not only a matter of great honour for the entire Rotana family, but it also encourages us to constantly relay this important message among our colleagues, guests and partners, to continue building a solid future for the company and the community,” said Omer Kaddouri, President & CEO, Rotana.
The annual awards offer the region’s only independent recognition scheme to organisations that showcase sustainability performance and acknowledge their efforts in demonstrating sustainability impact, leadership and commitment.
